Where great minds meet

Where great minds meet.

Dear Friends

A very warm welcome to all of you to this 23rd Asian Musculoskeletal Society (AMS) Annual Refresher Course which is being held in conjunction with the Musculoskeletal Society of India (MSS). Putting this meeting together in these strange and very difficult times has involved a huge amount of hard work and creative revamping by Dr Varaprasad Vemuri and his team. The Annual Refresher Course is the annual pinnacle of the AMS activities.

The Asian Musculoskeletal Society is a wonderful society, bringing together radiologists and other specialists interested in musculoskeletal imaging from the Middle East to Japan. The basis of the AMS is to share our love of MSK imaging with our friends from other Asian countries and to enhance education, training, and research into MSK diseases within the Asian region. I have no doubt, whatsoever, that you will hugely enjoy and benefit from this meeting which promises to be the best AMS Annual Scientific Meeting ever with a full complement of didactic lectures, workshops, and scientific sessions. A huge thankyou to Dr Varaprasad, who is currently President of the MSS, and this team for their incredible dedication, energy, hard work and innovation in bringing it all together. It is an absolute credit to them all.

It’s onwards and upwards for the AMS in the years ahead. If you are not already a member, please do consider joining and please also encourage your friends to join. The members are both the reason why this society exists and also the engine that will help drive the society onwards. Please do see about getting more involved in the activities of the AMS.

The meeting will mark the end of my presidency of the AMS. It has been a tremendous honor for me to preside over this wonderful Society for the past two years and I am pleased to hand over to our next President Prof Tamotsu Kamishima, from Hokkaido University, Japan. With your help and input, the future for the AMS is very bright as is the practice of MSK imaging across the Asian region. I do hope you have a wonderful 23rd AMS meeting

Yours sincerely,

Prof.James Griffith
